Peace of mind is a wonderful thing.
Oil & Filter Change
Oil is the lifeblood of an engine and vital in keeping it running at peak performance.
Oil breaks down over time becoming contaminated with dirt, dust & debris from the engine and the environment. If you plan on keeping your vehicle past the warranty, oil changes and inspections performed at least twice a year or every 5,000 to 7,500 km is cheap insurance.
We carry conventional oil and synthetic oil to meet the needs of the high mileage engine or modern engine engineered for higher tolerances.
Fisher Automotive is a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station for the Province of Ontario.
To register a motor vehicle as fit, you must have a safety standards certificate. An authorized mechanic at a government approved Motor Vehicle Inspection Station inspects the vehicle, for a fee, and issues a signed certificate if the vehicle passes inspection. The certificate is valid for 36 days from the date of the inspection. The certificate is not a warranty or guarantee on the general condition of the vehicle.
Wiper blades can be easily over-looked in good weather but not in bad weather. Regularly changing your wiper blades is a necessity to ensure driving safety.
Modern vehicles are equipped with a wide selection of interior and exterior lights that provide visibility for drivers and alert both pedestrians and other motorists that a vehicle is approaching.
Exterior lighting that is not functioning properly is a safety issue and ticketable offense.
Regular, routine maintenance can help improve your gasoline mileage, reduce pollution, and catch minor problems before they become big headaches. Cold weather puts an additional strain on the various systems within your vehicle.
Fisher Automotive's Winter Service checks for any potential issues by topping up all fluid levels, checking your battery to ensure its operating at optimal performance, and by utilizing a multi-point maintenance checklist to ensure safe and reliable winter driving.
Winter driving is tough enough don't make it worse with poor maintenance.
It's no surprise that your vehicle will drive better if all the wheels are pointed in the same direction. If your wheels are out of alignment you may notice that your vehicle pulls to one side or the other.
Extreme weather can wreak havoc on the roads we travel, leaving them laden with potholes, a chief contributor to the misalignment of your wheels.
Wheels that are out of alignment will diminish the life of your tires by causing rapid and uneven treadwear.
Properly aligned wheels improve driver safety, enhance your driving control, increase fuel efficiency and maximize the life of your tires. Save your tires before it’s too late, get an alignment.
Flat Tire & TPMS Service
Tire Service: If you need a tire plugged or a safety repair seal, which requires the removal of the tire from its rim, drop by and see us.
Minor damage can usually be repaired. However, if the sidewall / shoulder of the tire is damaged, or the size of the puncture exceeds 0.635 CM / ¼ inch in diameter, the tire will need to be replaced.
TPMS Service: A Tire pressure monitoring light that is illuminated indicates there is an issue with the pressure in your tires. Properly inflated tires are critical to stability, traction, steering and braking. A tire that is low on air has a shortened life, uneven wear and decreased gas mileage.
Tire Rotation & Balance
Rotating & balancing your tires on a regular basis is a cost effective way to promote safety, ensure longer tread wear, better gas mileage and a smoother ride.
Unbalanced tires can cause premature wear on suspension and steering components. Tires will also wear unevenly and require more routine maintenance to keep them from wearing out prematurely. Tire manufacturers recommend you should rotate your tire somewhere around 5,000 to 8,000 miles.
Tire balancing should also be performed every time you get a new set of tires or rims as small imbalances can cause annoying vibrations at high speed. A front wheel that is out of balance will vibrate through the steering wheel. A rear tire will vibrate through your seat.
Air Conditioning Service
Vehicles without properly functioning Air Conditioning can be an unpleasant and uncomfortable ride in hot weather. Furthermore, a properly functioning Air Conditioning will remove humidity from the cabin of the vehicle in damp and cold weather so that visibility is not compromised in these situations.
Air Conditioning systems have components that need regular check-ups to ensure there are no leaks, blockages, or parts that are worn out.
In order to keep the inside of your vehicle at a comfortable temperature, regular maintenance is required.
Belts & Hose Replacement
Belts and hoses degrade over time and can crack, split, swell and burst.
Proper maintenance is critical to keep your engine from overheating, reducing the risk of a breakdown.
It's important to check all belts and hoses at regular intervals as recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer.
Fisher Auto offers radiator hoses and belt replacement service packages, priced fairly, so you can keep rolling with confidence.
Brake Inspection & Repair
In the GTA the automobile still reigns supreme. That means a lot of stop and go traffic. Over the course of a year, if you put the average of 25,000 km on your automobile, you will pump your brakes thousands of times; and with every pump, braking components begin to wear and stopping power deteriorates.
Brake inspection is required when: the brake dashboard light glows amber (ABS) or red (system imbalance), the brake pedal is slow to respond or you hear a grinding/squealing during braking.
Ensure a confident stop - bring your automobile to Fisher Automotive for routine brake servicing.
A properly functioning drivetrain transfers power evenly from the engine to all drive wheels and it varies the amount of torque to keep your vehicle running properly and ultimately get you to your destination. It’s that simple and that important.
We will replace the fluid in the differential that can develop a gummy texture that doesn’t properly lubricate the gears effectively anymore and also in the transfer case to keep everything cool and turning smoothly
Sometimes, despite your best efforts to maintain your vehicles engine, it can run into issues that require repair.
Engines can develop a knock, begin to run rough, engine oil can leak from its seals or gaskets, and the list goes on and on. These problems can be minor or catastrophic. Fisher Auto has the knowledge and latest tools to diagnose the problem and then repair it.

Steering & Suspension
Worn steering & suspension components can diminish the stability of your vehicle and reduce control.
Signs of worn shocks & struts can include the front end of your vehicle diving when braking, the rear of your vehicle buckling on acceleration, swaying on turns, bouncing, pulling, a crooked steering wheel, uneven tire wear, etc.
Properly functioning steering & suspension components provide an improved ride, enhanced handling, better control, greater stability, short braking distance, and superior comfort.
Heating & Cooling System
The health of your vehicle’s cooling system is the key to engine longevity, your comfort and the comfort of your passengers.
The radiator is the core of your vehicle’s cooling system it is responsible for reducing the heat generated from the coolant circulating through your vehicle’s cooling system. The radiator must be clean, leak free, filled with coolant and clear of blockages.
Coolant that is not maintained becomes acidic over time and degrades the internals of your cooling system. This deterioration results in the structural break-down of hoses, gaskets and belts. Degraded coolant can also lead to premature water pump failure brought on by deteriorated seals. The good news is these issues can be avoided by performing coolant flushes at the intervals recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer.
The transmission is the most complex system in your vehicle. Without it, your vehicle won’t move - unless you're pushing!
If your transmission isn't operating properly, it could be due to several issues. Your transmission employs computerized systems, electrical components, hydraulics, and mechanical gears all working in unison to move your vehicle.
Is your transmission malfunctioning? It could be any one of the following at fault: low transmission fluid, low quality fluid causing poor performance on acceleration or a slip when shifting or electrical issues that cause problems changing gears or shifting out of park.
Computer problems can leave your vehicle stuck in limp mode, only able to travel at slow speeds; or even internal mechanical damage can render your transmission inoperable.
